Every new home, garage, and outbuilding needs utilities run to it, and that starts with a clean, properly dug trench. Berkshire Construction & Logging provides utility trenching in Hinsdale, MA and the surrounding communities for homeowners, builders, plumbers, and electricians.
We dig trenches to the depth and width each utility requires:
- Water lines below the frost line, from wells or town connections
- Sewer lines to septic systems or municipal mains
- Electrical and conduit trenches for underground power to homes, barns, garages, and generators
- Drainage piping for downspouts, footing drains, and yard drainage
We coordinate with your plumber or electrician, bed pipe in sand or stone where needed, and backfill and compact in layers so the trench doesn't settle later. When a trench crosses a lawn or driveway, we restore the surface when we're done.
Need test pits dug before a project, or running into ledge along the trench line? We handle trenching and test pits as well as rock breaking, so one crew can get the job done. Call or text for a free trenching estimate.
